Pakistan
And seek a resolution for the longstanding Kashmir conflict following the two nuclear-armed nations in South Asia agreeing to a truce on Saturday evening.
On a posting to his Truth Social platform, the president claimed responsibility for the
cessation of hostilities that was reached with backing from his administration.
“I’m planning to significantly boost trade with both of these wonderful countries, even though this wasn’t brought up before. Furthermore, I’ll collaborate with you both to explore whether, after ‘a thousand years,’ we might find a resolution for Kashmir,” he shared in his post.

The U.S. president commended the leaders of the two countries for exhibiting what he referred to as “robust and steadfastly strong leadership.”

Earlier, Mr. Trump stated that both India and Pakistan had committed to a “complete and instant cessation of hostilities” following mediation during their discussions facilitated by the U.S.
Although Pakistan conveyed appreciation for the US participation, Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misra stated that both nations collaborated “directly” to conclude the agreement.
A few hours later, New Delhi and Islamabad
accused each other of violating the ceasefire agreement
after explosions were heard over two cities in India-administered Kashmir.
