Ukrainian forces successfully thwarted one of the biggest Russian motorbike attacks near Pokrovske. This engagement went on for over seven hours, as reported by the Ukrainian National Guard.
“Yesterday, Ukrainian forces successfully thwarted a significant attack involving Russian combatants on motorbikes. This incident will be recorded in history,” stated the National Guard of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military states that the Russian offensive near Pokrovsk continued for slightly more than seven hours.
Losses of Russian forces in the Pokrovsk sector
Russia lost:
・up to 40 infantrymen
・about 13 motorcycles;
・3 armored personnel carriers.
Situation in Donetsk region
Recently, the Ukrainian armed forces have reclaimed approximately 16 square kilometers of territory in the Donetsk area.
The Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that the Russian forces haven’t altered their objectives and are still attempting to drive Ukrainian military units out of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, along with achieving control over the administrative boundaries of these areas.
