The violent attempt to
firebomb the mansion
Governor Josh Shapiro’s (D-PA) announcement sent ripples throughout the political world, especially since it appears that the suspect, Cody Balmar, harbors intense anti-Semitic sentiments towards Governor Shapiro. However, according to the chairman of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania, Shapiro should instead be criticizing his own party for being behind the assault.
“Heartfelt sympathies go to Governor Shapiro and his loved ones; we’re grateful that everyone is safe now,” stated Greg Rothman on Newsmax. “However, being part of the Democratic Party, he should address this violence publicly. For instance, just recently, the Republican party’s office in New Mexico faced an arson attack, not forgetting the issues at Tesla dealerships,” he added.
This needs to end, but let’s make one thing crystal clear: it originates from the far-left,” Rothman went on. “Even if it comes from the extreme wing of the left, we must oppose it, America. We can do better than this; allowing violence to become intertwined with our political disagreements is how democracies crumble.

Currently, there is no evidence suggesting that Balmer had left-leaning affiliations or was influenced by leftist organizations. He referred to Shapiro’s work.

Rothman is not the only Republican trying to portray Shapiro as somehow responsible for the attack against himself; Pennsylvania Rep. Dan Meuser posed a

In reaction to the assault, Shapiro has denounced violence from both sides of the political spectrum.
This type of violence has no right to exist within our community, irrespective of whatever drives it,” Shapiro stated, urging individuals not to theorize about motives just as he did following the attempted assassination targeting President Donald Trump and the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. “Such extreme acts must cease immediately and should be unequivocally denounced across the board—by every member of each political party and folks from various backgrounds.
