In Dnipro, as a result of the evening Russian attack, the number of injured has risen again. In addition, the Russians damaged at least 15 buildings, according to the city’s mayor, Borys Filatov.
He stated that the consequences of the Russian attacks are currently being managed across different regions of Dnipro. Considerable amounts of robust urban equipment have been utilized in these efforts.
“Least 15 structures have sustained damage, encompassing student residences, an academic facility, and a dining business. The examinations will carry on through the night into the following morning, particularly within the privately owned sectors,” he penned.
He additionally mentioned that the death toll has increased to 28 individuals, among whom are children.
“The city’s hospitals are aiding the wounded. So far, the casualty count has risen to 28, including four children. I’d like to express my gratitude to those supporting one another through this challenging night. To the families of the victims, please accept my heartfelt sympathies,” stated the mayor of Dnipro.
Drone attack on Dnipro
On the evening of April 16, beginning at 9:55 PM, a potential drone strike threat was issued for Dnipro. Within an hour, the city experienced at least ten explosions.
Following the assault, fires broke out, structures sustained damage, and vehicles were ruined. A Shahed almost struck the city hall structure.
At first, reports indicated that two kids were among those affected; however, the count soon went up. As of 23:57, it was confirmed that two individuals had passed away—a younger woman and an elderly lady—and another sixteen sustained injuries. Within these cases, three children were included—a baby girl who was nine months old as well as two boys at ages six and eleven—but thankfully, their health status remained stable.
