On Thursday night, Russian forces altered their strategy and initiated multiple synchronized attacks along the southern front, according to statements made by the Southern Defense Forces on their Telegram channel.
Russia used at least 320 personnel, 40 armored vehicles, three tanks and about a dozen military buggies to launch attacks on the front line near the villages of Pyatikhatky, Stepove, Lobkove, Mala Tokmachka and Mali Shcherbaky.
Ukraine said it used drones to detect the Russian advance and responded with targeted counterstrikes. The first wave of Russian vehicles was reportedly destroyed 8 kilometers from the frontline, with three infantry fighting vehicles taken out early in the battle.
