The adversary has maintained its objective to push Ukrainian Armed Forces units out of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts with the aim of reaching their administrative boundaries. Nevertheless, this strategy continues to be unsuccessful.
We continue with both defensive maneuvers and counter-offensives, achieving notable progress. In recent weeks, we’ve reclaimed approximately 16 square kilometers of land surrounding Udachne, Kotlyne, and Shevchenko.
I am grateful to the Ukrainian soldiers for their bravery, perseverance, and expertise.”
Details:
Syrskyi mentioned that during a period of three days, he interacted with the Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk Operational Tactical Group and toured almost every brigade within this unit, which has been facing the main thrust of the Russian spring offensive.
Each day, Ukrainian soldiers fend off approximately 30 attacks from Russian forces, causing considerable casualties among the Russian units near the Pokrovsk frontline.
Syrskyi was informed about a report from the commander of the Donetsk Operational Tactical Group, Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, and engaged with various brigade leaders at their respective command centers.
