Over the past day, from April 16 to 17, the Russian invaders lost 1,230 soldiers and 313 units of equipment on the front line, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
The estimated total combat losses of Russia from February 24, 2022, to April 17, 2025, are as follows:
・Personnel – Approximately 937,440 (+1,230) Russian soldiers have been neutralized;

Situation on front line and Russian attacks
On Wednesday, April 16, the Russian forces shelled the city of Izium in the Kharkiv region with a missile. Due to the attack, there are casualties among the civilian population.
Furthermore, the terrorists conducted a extensive drone assault on the city of Dnipro. The attacks led to damage to buildings and resulted in three fatalities, one of whom was a child.
Over the past day, there were more than 90 combat clashes with the enemy on the front line.
