A veteran who gained local fame has published a book recounting his experiences as an Air Force fighter pilot.
Colonel Robert Graham, after his retirement, had completed four combat tours, one of which was in Vietnam.
His book,
One of the Few
takes readers inside the cockpit of a supersonic aircraft, through jungle combat scenarios, and critical decision-making situations where lives hang in the balance.
On Wednesday, Graham organized a meet and greet event at Isabella Restaurant and Bar.
“I think we should take away something from this tale, and consider this somewhat like an apology to my loved ones for explaining why it was crucial for me to be absent frequently serving our nation,” stated Ret. Col. Robert Graham.
Even at the age of 90, Colonel Graham continues to work at his family’s enterprise in the Back Mountain area.
