Shapiro’s official residence was
attacked in an arson incident
early Sunday. Cody Balmer, 38, scaled a fence at the Harrisburg mansion, broke windows with a hammer, and threw homemade Molotov cocktails fashioned from beer bottles and gasoline into two rooms, igniting flames.
Shapiro, his family, and guests safely evacuated and no one was hurt. The property sustained extensive damage, however.

Balmer stated that he focused on Shapiro due to his stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict, voicing anger at what he thought Shapiro intended to do to the Palestinian population. According to investigators, Balmer also alluded to perceived wrongs committed against Palestinians.
Balmer is charged with attempted murder, aggravated arson, terrorism, and burglary.
Rep. Dan Meuser
(R-PA) appeared on “The Bob Cordarro Show” at WILK Newsradio where he denounced the “utterly horrific” assault during Passover. He also attributed responsibility to the Democratic party for inflammatory statements contributing to politically motivated aggression, such as incidents involving Tesco vehicles and Tesla outlets.
“As for those on the left who keep making violent and antagonistic remarks, when such incidents occur, everyone jumps aboard to declare that these comments should be denounced universally. So, they also need to reflect internally,” stated Meuser.
He remarked, “They also need to scale back their approach. Every move Josh Shapiro has made against the president has either resulted in a lawsuit or turned out to be false. This isn’t productive either.”
Cordaro referred to Shapiro as “part of the amen choir for the Democratic crazies.”
Meuser criticized Shapiro for failing to condemn the car bombing that occurred outside Trump’s Las Vegas hotel in January.
“So look, let’s just pause for a moment and recognize that instances like these should consistently be denounced by everyone on every side, one hundred percent of the time,” he finished.
