Trump’s Key DC Prosecutor Frequently Appears on Russian State Television

President Donald Trump’s choice for Washington’s U.S. attorney position has been featured more than 150 times on Russian state media, as revealed by an investigation conducted by

The Washington Post.

Ed Martin didn’t originally reveal his TV appearances between 2016 and 2024 when questioned by the Senate, according to reports from the newspaper. Before his confirmation hearing with the Senate Judiciary Committee, he was required to complete a detailed questionnaire listing all media interview engagements. As the current acting U.S. attorney for Washington, Martin failed to admit that he had participated as a guest commentator on what were described as propaganda networks multiple times over those years. During this period, he made more frequent appearances on these channels compared to any other significant cable news platform. The State Department notes that RT operates beyond typical journalism; it has been involved in information campaigns, clandestine manipulation efforts, and even arms deals. Recently, a coalition of senior government figures such as attorneys and ex-politicians wrote to the D.C. Court of Appeals requesting an inquiry into Ed Martin’s actions.
