Trump Blasts TV Network Over Ukraine and Greenland Controversy

President Trump has launched an intense assault on CBS following recent coverage of his policies concerning Ukraine.
proposed annexation of Greenland.

On a Sunday evening post on Truth Social, Trump called for the network to lose their license due to his claims of
repeated instances of bias
opposed to him and his administration.

‘They are not a ”News Show,” but a dishonest Political Operative simply disguised as ”News,” and must be responsible for what they have done, and are doing,’ he wrote.

‘CBS has gone completely unchecked, reaching unprecedented heights, and they ought to face significant consequences for their actions. LET’S MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!’

On Sunday night, 60 Minutes aired an interview reporter Scott Pelley conducted with Ukrainian president Volodymyr
Zelensky
At the location of a Russian assault where nine children lost their lives earlier this month.

Zelensky stated that he harbors ‘100 percent’ dislike for Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin.

for the
invasion of Ukraine
, and extended an invitation to Trump to visit his country and witness the destruction caused by the war.

Additionally on Sunday, journalist Jon Wertheim provided insights from Greenland regarding local opinions on President Trump’s suggestion to annex the island.

Trump retaliated, stating that the war in Ukraine ‘would have never occurred if the
2020 Election
had not been rigged, in other words, if I were the President.’

And responding to
the story on Greenland
, he simply said it ‘cast our Country, as led by me, falsely, inaccurately and fraudulently.’

It came to light last week that Trump is
thinking about providing each citizen of Greenland
a yearly monetary distribution as part of his effort to gain support from the islanders.

His government proceeded with a formal plan to purchase the Arctic island from Denmark.

is considering.

An alternative option involves substituting the $600 million in subsidies that Denmark provides to the island with an annual payment of roughly $10,000 per Greenlandic citizen. Nonetheless, Denmark maintains that the territory is non-negotiable and cannot be purchased or annexed.

During the 60 Minutes segment aired on Sunday, residents insisted that they are not up for grabs and have no desire to join the United States.

Trump also touched upon his
$20 billion lawsuit against

60 Minutes for how it edited an interview with Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris last fall.

The president claims it was edited in a way to make Harris look good, something the newscast denies.

The revised edition portrayed Harris as more clear and concise, trimming down meandering responses regarding Ukraine’s eligibility for NATO membership, the Israeli-Palestinian dispute, and her reluctance to address speculative inquiries about China.

Ongoing reports suggest that attorneys for Trump and executives from CBS’ parent company are engaged in discussions regarding a potential settlement.

“I feel incredibly privileged to be taking legal action against 60 Minutes, CBSFakeNews, and Paramount due to their egregiously unrecognizable and deceptive reporting,” he stated.

They went to great lengths to improperly get Kamala elected, even resorting to thoroughly and corruptly altering key responses during interviews, yet their efforts were unsuccessful.

He urged Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr to enforce the highest possible penalties as a consequence of their unlawful actions.
